Next Meeting on Monday,

Centre'd Women meets at 6:30 PM on the 3rd Monday of each month at Eileen's Art and Antiques, located at 702 Centre Street in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach.

Bring a bottle of wine or a snack to share. We have a time of food and fellowship, followed by a speaker or special presentation. We have no dues, no fees, to specific mission.

Summer is upon us-

If you have business or volunteer organization that could provide summer opportunities for local children, GET THE WORD OUT NOW.

Parents are making plans for their kids.

The Barnabus Center will have a fund raiser this month. The Cottage Trio Tour will be 2 weekends in May, premiering May 16.

Raven is raising funds so that Image & Style can get into the local schools

	NOTICE from Korrin Johnson Many thanks to Dorothy and Barbara, who will be opening before our meetings. We still need a "closer" to lock up after our meetings.

	Our speaker in May was Master Gardener Linda Leopold, who spoke to us about our local climate, native plans, and she answered many questions from the audience.

Although Centre’d Women itself is minimally organized, our “groupies” are not.
From this group of Centre’d Women have sprung such worthy organizations as the Fernandina Beach Farmers Market, and the Chamber Music Festival.

The women who attend our gatherings are also involved in sea turtle rescue, local theater groups, the History Museum , American Business Women Association, the Lions Club of Fernandina Beach, The Chamber of Commerce, and a new move to establish recycling through Nassau County.

Our members are teachers, bankers, real estate agents, free lance artists, published authors, massage therapists, various business owners, stay-at-home mothers, and retirees who may have been one or several of the above.

Eileen's Shop Corner

The Doggie People have a booth in Eileen's shop. Sales benefit the opening of a shelter for animals on the island.

Also, there are some At Home Amelia closeouts in Eileen's Antiques.

Eileen needs temp help in her store talk to her if you would like to work a few hours.
